Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
My husband has been incarcerated for 5 months. His attorny filed a motion for bond and the hearing is scheduled for may 7th. The judge has filed an order of nisi for bond modification/reconsideration. I want to know what exactly does that mean and is it a good thing or bad thing as far as his bond goes.

His lawyer, who knows all of the facts of the case, is obviously the one person in the best position to know what is going on in the case and your husband's chances for getting out on bond. A guess here won't get you a better answer.
A rule nisi schedules the motion. It just sets the date. It reads bond modification/reconsideration either because the attorney made a mistake in typing the motion or the judge's staff made a mistake. The rule nisi only tells you when the court date will be it si not good or bad
