Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

My husband who is on parole (3.5 yeras left) and has mental illness (bipolar disorder and anxiety); recently relapsed on drugs and while high snatched $500 from a womans hand in a grocery stire; at least thats what the police have told me. he is running cause he's scared and has not admitted to me that he did that; however, i have no illusions that it might be true. he had been going to a psychiatrist and therapist but was not taking his meds properly as most people who are bipolar do not at times. He says he's gonna turn himnself in; the police want me to help catch him. there was no weapon or violence used; from what i understand he walked in the store and took the money out the lady who works at the store's hand. what can be done to help him. i have no idea where he is; he is scared, hungry, i'm sure dirty, and has no meds. what advice do you have for me?
