my husband is on probation and has been in hte hospital for heart failure he has been unable to make his payment can his po send him to prison

While the technical answer is YES. No probation officer is going to take a warrant for a person who has missed payments because he is in the hospital. Let me be clear: If your husband did not report or pay for the last six months and has only been in the hospital for three days, his PO may take a warrant, but not if his failure to report is a direct result of his currently being in the hospital.
