is it illeagle for a state patrol to threaten to kill you within a hundred and twenty seconds of a traffic stop?

Sounds like a "loaded" question! It depends on what happened during that 120 seconds. The real question is whether it was caught on tape (such as through a dashboard camera or cell phone).
