Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

Incident [running from police]

Situation : Four friends and me were on our spring break from college and decided to sit around a little fire and drink beer. We are all 18 years old. For some reason a police officer began to approach us but never announced himself as such. Without having any idea who he really was four of us took off and the boy who stayed was the one who lived at the house. I brought the beer in a bookbag that had my name on it. The boy that stayed was NOT arrested even though he had a beer in his hand when the officer walked up. It has been five days and no word from the police. I know that they have my name. I called my attourney and gave him the officers name and number and they have been unable to reach each other thus far. What would be the smartest course of action for me? I am on first offender probation so if I get arrested I will have ruined everything I worked so hard to achieve. I had no intention of driving under the influence and I did not even drive. I also would like to stress I had no idea that he was in fact a police officer when I decided to flee.

If you have an attorney you should be asking him or her these questions. You may get two or three opinions that differ from the person who knows the matter the best, your current attorney. That may lead only to frustration.
