Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
Internet love gone bad do i have toreturn the money?
A man i met on the internet has been sending me money via western union. I checked and he is a legit millionaire. . He has been sending it for a while now and it's quite large amounts about 5000$ so far. I have never askedfor the money he always offers for diffrent things rent, clothes, ect. I have decided not to visit him, and he just sent 500$ for a plane ticket 2 days ago. Can i be prosecuted or sued if i do not return the money. He has asked for all the money he has sent me over time and says i can be prosecuted for acceptingit andnot using it for what he sent it for. I said i would return the money for the plane ticket but he wantsit all, so if i send none or just the 500$ for the ticket can i be prosecuted or sued or is he trying to bully me tocomesince he's invested all this money? He says accepting all the money and not comming is fradulent i say it's a change of mind. Is he right? By the way he's been sending the money to Coumbus Ga, 5 mins. away (nearest Western Union).

I wouldn't worry about it, it could be construed as a gift. As long as you weren't having sex in return for money there is probably no law against it. He knew he was giving you money in return for nothing. Just send him the plane ticket money back and move on.
