You should not do anything or speak to anyone until you hire a Georgia criminal defense attorney to review your case and advise you of your options. Cost should not be an issue -- your freedom depends on it.

You should stop talking to anyone and hire the best criminal lawyer you can. Borrow if you have to. A conviction, or even a nolo plea, could mean a long time in prison and a criminal record for life. If you have to, sell everything you have. This is the most important thing in your life and it is urgent. Get counsel ASAP.
First of all the judge decides if he will accept a nolo plea. Second, a nolo plea is the equivalent of a guilty plea for purposes of sentencing. If someone is dead, you should expect to go to prison. How long you spend in prison is a function of the attorney you hire. Good luck
