Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

I have an jail notarized affidavit from the co-defendant stating I was not involved nor had prior knowledge of the armed robbery we were charged in. Do we have to turn this over to prosecution? How can this help or hurt my case?

Thank you

You can't use notarized affidavits in court. Since you are facing many years in prison you need a lawyer immediately and you would be completely foolish to talk to police, prosecutors, or the codefendant without a lawyer.

The only thing the prosecutor cares about is: When is the co-defendant going to take his fifteen years in prison, so he can clear you. Until he takes his fifteen years in prison, he has no credibility with the prosecutor. Good luck.
