Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
Law enforcement authority when dealing with minors.
My child is 17 years of age and was recently arrested and charged as an adult. Since she is also still considered to be a minor and under my parental authority, can law enforcement agencies officially interogate her without me or my wife being present? Can they withdraw her from school without a warrant without first obtaining our permission?
