Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
Is There Any Lawyer That Will Actually
give a free consoltation. By that I don't mean a quote of how much they are going to charge me based on the offenses. But an attorney that will briefly examine the case and tell me my best options like they use to in the old days.
Also any with a reasonable payment plan?

Re: Is There Any Lawyer That Will Actually
Frankly, your message sounds as though it reflects a certain anti-lawyer sentiment. That doesn't bode well for your chances of mounting a successful criminal defense. When one is in criminal trouble is not the time to go bargain-hunting for lawyers. You want the best criminal lawyer you can get. If you are too poor to pay for one, the court will appoint you a public defender. Many lawyers give free inital consultations. I do not agree that more did in the "good old days". And very few lawyers are going to agree to a "payment plan" for a criminal defense. Most will charge by the stage or the hour, and most will want an advance retainer. The reason is simple. People who go to jail or prison rarely pay their legal bills.
