Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
What legal recourse is available?
14 yr old girl, divorced parents, living with father. Girl ends up pregnant by a 26 yr old man.
Father allows relationship and is preparing to move said man into home where daughter resides to ''help out with bills and things''.
That the father of the baby is culpable for statutory rape is obvious, but is the GIRL'S father at all legally responsible for the situation? What criminal charges could he face? Would the child be forced into living with the mother? Also is another child of that marriage, that also resides with father. What would happen to her, as far as custody, if her father faced criminal charges for this situation?
Thank you for any help.

Re: What legal recourse is available?
The situation you describe is likely child endangerment and the DHS would be most interested in a case such as you describe.
