if syrenges are found in my vehicle,how much of a controlled substance has to be present before charges can be made?

Without addressing the seach issues, you can be charged with possession based on the presence of a trace. You may also be charged with VGCSA for the mere possession of paraphernalia, i.e., the syringe.
If you have been charged, you need to see an attorney and do so at once.
