Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
Malicious boyfriend
I have a friend in Georgia who recently split from her boyfriend. He is now retalliating by attempting to break into her voice mail, put items in her mail box and handing out naked photos of her to strangers. One of the people who received the photo had done work for her and brought the photos to her attention. Does she have any legal recourse against this man and could this be a police matter as well? She feels simply getting a restraining order would not be enough and she is becoming frightened. Thank you for your consideration of my question.

Re: Malicious boyfriend
I don't know Georgia law, but she if she were in Texas, I would recommend that she get both a restraining order and a protective order. They have value, as if he violates it, then the police will jail him.
She should also talk to her local police department to see if his behavior qualifies as stalking.
