Misdemeanor Shoplifting

I was arrested in a major discount store for shoplifting items with a retail value of $23 and held for 8 hours before the warrant was issued and I was processed and allowed to post bail. I have never been arrested or convicted of any crime. What type of sentence can I expect to receive, or what are the parameters in which the judge will make his decision concerning my punishment?

no pior record robation/conditonal dischage

Typically a 1st offense shoplift fr misdemeanor is probation and a fine. it will depend on the court in which you appear. You may ask for 1st offender treatment or for a co ditional discharge. isuggest you hire an attorney to go to court with you and advise you on these itmes.
