Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
About a month ago I put a guy in jail because he assaulted me twice while I was on the bus to go and from work.... He went to jail for thirty days, but got out on Monday. Yesterday, I was coming home from work and he was in a car with my friend's ex boyfriend, and he said " I am going to get you one day" So my question is, Would that be considered a threat, and what should I do?

Go to the magistrate court for the county where you live and ask to file a temporary protective order. They will issue a 30 day order and then hold a hearing to see whether it should be extended to a full 12 months.
Douglas's answer is incomplete,. Before you do that, make a police report and also see if you can get a criminal warrant for terroristic threats, a felony. THEN get the protective order.
