Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
I am a non-US citizen and have been in an unfortunate incident of shoftlifting for around $120. I got arrested and have a court date in Nov. Please advise as to what are options are available to me. Can the case be dismissed? Thank you.

You need to get a lawyer. Let me repeat - you need to get a lawyer.
A lawyer may be able to work things out to avoid a conviction or minimize the penalties. Pretrial diversion may be an option.
If you want to represent yourself, be aware that you could receive up to a year in jail and a $1000 fine in some cases, and that your status to remain in the U.S. might be affected.
