Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
I have a first offender charge for attempt to obtain controlled substance by means of fraud. I had to apply for a basic background check with the sheriffs office for a potential employer. I'm on unsupervised probation. Will it show up?

It may. Bear in mind that not only will the reporting likely be different on GCIC after completion and before completion of 1st offender, but many employers also use private records checks that will catch things the GCIC check may not (an internet background check these days is very common). Bear in mind that getting caught lying to a prospective employer is a good way to not get hired, or get fired.
