what are the penalties in georgia for reporting a suspicious person of theft, then being charged for filing a false police report in writing

Pursuant to O.C.G.A. Section 16-10-26, filing a false police report in Georgia is a misdemeanor punishable up to one year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
