Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

If a person was involved in a shooting and the other person shot him in the thigh which cause serious damage to his whole leg. It was believe at the time both were shooting.Therefore, the judge revoke the person that got shot probation and gave him 10 years for possesion of firearmsand possesion of majurana, and cocaine. When the probation revocation hearing came up, It was stated by the officer at the crime scene that there was only one shell casing found at the scene and that was the one that the person got shot with and they revoke his probation for possession of majuarna and cocaine and having a firearm but these items were not found on the person that got shot and the only two witnesses was the person brother, which have did prison time and had pending cases on him, and his friend another which also had pending cases on him (incarcerated now). Can the judge give the victim 10 years for his first time going to prison and can the person who shot claim self defense?
