Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
The police came to my house one day and arrested my boyfriend because he had a probation warrant. He was outside and he did not have anything on him. His name is not on the lease and he did not live here, but they took him to jail and obtained a search warrant for my house. I was not here. They found drugs in a safe and in a closet. 4 days later I got pulled over and arrested because I had a warrant. They are charging me with all the same drugs I'm assuming because my name is on the lease. Is that legal for them to charge both of us with the same drrugs?

It is legal. You are not being charged because your name is on the lease. You are being charged it is "your house" (review first line of your letter). You live there, and presumably know what is in a safe in a closet in your house. Good luck
