What "guard lines?" Search for what? This is the second time you asked a question, apparently wanting to play guessing games by leaving out the facts.
What are guard lines? Search for what? What did they charge you with? This is the second time you deliberately chose to give no facts and play games rather than ask a real question.
If you got charged with something, unless you are a complete fool, you have already seen and hired a lawyer, as that is the thing everyone knows to do at that point. I am mystified why you are not calling your lawyer, who at least knows what you are charged with and why.
Yes police can charge you with drugs that they failed to find on your person when they took you to jail, where the drugs were found. Your question demands that your attorney have experience with the type of case you are referring to. Clearly, I have seen it all. See website: www.lawrencelewispc.com
Short answer: Yes, Georgia law requires that Guard Lines be clearly marked and posted with signs so individuals like yourself will be put on notice that you maybe searched and that crossing guard line with contraband is a felony. see OCGA 42-5-14, 42-5-15.
