Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
I know someone who wouldn't pull over for police and led police on a chase for 4 miles to his home. He was uncooperative w/police and tased. He told me that he had a bottle w/prescription drugs in it (not prescribed to him) and the police took it at the scene. He wasn't charged w/the possession, though. Why not? Is this misconduct? No report of the drugs, either.

Nothing requires a police officer to charge every offense he sees.

You are funny, the police chase wasn't enough. He wasn't arrested for drug possession, but that does not mean that the prosecutor that did not chase him for four miles will not take the time to charge him for the offense. Just wait and see.
