Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
I have a very puzzling question. I was charged for a simple battery assault but i have no arrests or conviction on it. Basically its on record with the person's statement but no further actions of the sort. Now with that being said it is popping up on my background check and its destroying my chances. Is there anyway i can get this expunged or taken off the record if there werent anything done to me?

Look at GA law on "restriction" (new name for "expungement" after July 1, 2013)
The process of restriction depends on when you were arrested and how the case was resolved.
You may need a lawyer to have certain records restricted but why take a chance. Consult with a local attorney.o
