Chances are sllim that you will get a lawyer on an internet forum to give you permission to not show up for court for whatever reason. When you have actual knowledge your presence is wanted. If you want a firm response, have your lawyer look into all relevant facts (and the consequences for the various options).

You should receive a subpoena if you are required to be in court. However, since you did not receive one, try NOT going to court, and then you can whine about how the prosecutor, who phoned you and told you to be in court, is being an ass about locking you up for failing to appear.
