Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
I received a letter in the mail saying i needed to go to court. I picked up the police report and it said that I had caused damage to an unknown male's car totaling under $500. I went to court and was arrested and was then told the damage was over $500. When I was arrested i was never read my rights. I did bail out as soon as I was in the system though. I was told I have to go to court but was not assigned a court date. As far as the different amounts on the police report and not being read my rights can I do something about that?

No one has to read you rights at an arrest. The only thing not doing so does is prevent the state from using any post-arrest statements from you at trial.
A discrepancy in a police report that minor likely doesn't help you, but your lawyer would need to know more to determine that, and you should have already retained counsel, as you need good legal help.
