Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
just received my official charges online. When I was arrested, I was under the impression that it was just for battery. Here is what showed up today:
Count 1: 16-5-23.1, battery-m - 11/17/2013.
Count 2: 16-5-23(a)(2), simple battery-m - 11/17/2013.
Count 3: 16-5-23(a)(1), simple battery-m - 11/17/2013.
I did go to my girlfriend's ex-boyfriends home and a fight did happen. Also, could this be considered domestic? He took out a PTO under domestic, but did not show for the hearing and it was dismissed.

You're risking up the three years in jail and $3000 in fines, and you just admitted to a fight here on the internet where the prosecutor and police can read your admission. I am wondering why you do not yet have a lawyer, and why you would risk harming your case by posting about it online. Stop posting details of a crime online and get counsel.
