Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
Restraining Order
I need some legal advice on what it means to get a restraining order. Do I have to have concrete evidence of harrassment in order to do so?

Re: Restraining Order
You need to just make a complaint of harassment for a temporary restraining order (TRO), which lasts up to 30 days. After that, a hearing is held to determine whether a 12 month restraining order should issue, and your testimony is all the evidence that is needed. However, if you have more concrete evidence, such as voicemails, letters, etc., that will certainly help you.
