my daughter has been married to this man for 20 years he has been beaten her the whold time of her marriage.my daughter is suffering from a disease call DRPLA,deteroration of the brain and spinal cord,simular to Huntings disease.THE last time she was taken to the hospital, her husbandwas arrested assultfamily violanceand a convicted felony with fire armshe had 7 guns at his home. the DA gave him a plea bargin 12 months in prison.I called the pardon and parol about his charges and they said that the only charge he is serving is for the firearms.the reason the hospital called the police is because of the beating and when the officers got to the house they found the guns. MY DAUGHTERS LIFE is more inportantthan a GUN...And when he gets out he will be able to be around her.And this time he might Kill her.Please help me help my daughterHer life is worth more than the guns.But the laws dont protect the victin,they are protecting him while he is prison ,if the other prisoners knew why he is in prison for beating a sick and dying 37year old wife and 3 kids Im sure that they would show him how it feels to be beating down...Please Help Me he will be out soon and I dont know what to do. 6 months he is out

Your daughter should consult a local attorney who could assist in developing options. You hint that your daughter may lack the capacity to make her own decisions. If that is the case, then you will probably need to look in to competency evaluations that would enable you, or someone else to be appointed as your daughter's guardian.
