Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
I was robbed back in 2013 for answering an ad on craigslist.org for a room for rent. Im a traveling Millwright and I stay in Hotels all over the country......I met the woman at the lounge of the hotel I was at (its on camera) when we got to her house she offered a drink to me then I found myself waking up on the couch with a guy telling me I owe him 200.00 well my cell was missing by then .....they took me to an ATM to try and get 200.00 from me ( on Banks ATM camera) so I broke and ran getting a nasty 6 inch gash in my leg (they chased me) well I got away went to the nearest store and called police .....well I had to wait for the detective to get there it was early in the morning and PD wouldn't let me leave then finally after I dont know how long of an interview it was I was accused of trying to buy drugs or score a prostitute which I do not do either....well I ended the interview then and well 3 years later I get a phone call saying that I filed a false crime report not to mention by the time I made it to the hospital my wound on my leg had been open to long to sew up so now I have a nasty scar on my leg and lost my job ......do I have a case the warrant is still active like I said I just found out they had them on camera and talked to them ......I called several times after I got a new phone (my 700.00 phone was stolen) and have the hospital records to show ........and yes they did call me I also have ACR on my phone now which allows you to record all calls on your phone ......which I have ......I have even talked to the judge that signed the warrant.....(recorded) my question was when im found not guilty will I be able to sue because I went from a victim to a criminal and it isnt right.....

Sue who, for what? Your own short story - you willingly went back to wherever with a stranger from a hotel lobby to have sex, a man asked for money later, you tried to skip out and it did not end well. It could have ended much, much worse and the fact that they only asked for $200 at the ATM indicates they were not merely thieves. There is usually one explanation for that scenario - and police usually know who the local prostitutes and pimps are. Either way, you can't sue the police for properly doing their job and investigating, even if you are not convicted. Surely you can see what happened here, and why you are not being viewed as an "innocent victim?"
