Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
Running charges concurrent
I am on probation for a felony shoplifting but i aslo have two cases of shoplifting pending in other two diffrent counties can these charges just run with my probation now or do i have to do time in jail

Whether those charges would run concurrent or consecutive would be within the discretion of the judge assigned to the case. Additionally, the prosecutor may file a recidivist notice which would trigger the mandatory maximum sentence for the crime. In such an eventuality, you would be looking at serving every day of your sentence w/o possibility of parole.
