simple assault charge

My 18 year old daughter had been tormented by a 12 year old on the school bus, she had been to the princeapal on numerous occasions and nothing had been done with the bully. He used racial slurs and called her fatass..she is overwieght and has been in tears night after night because of this boys constant nagging. She apparently had all she could take and hit the boy yesterday . The parents had her arrested and charged..what is going to happen to the boy do we not have something we can do. My daughters life is going to be runined by a 12 year old boy with no respect for anyone.

The first thing you want to worry about is the criminal charges facing your daughter. The best thing to do at this point, other than hiring an attorney, is to try and gather as much information as close to the incident as possible. Talk to the principal and see what he/she thinks. Gather the names and numbers of as many students that witnessed the events as possible. Try to keep detailed records of all of this. It will help you out to have this evidence.
