Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
My son was out on bond in one state when he got arrested in another state. He has been transferred to the other state out on bond. They knew he was in jail when he missed his court date. When he goes for his arraignment will the judge reissue another bond.

If a bench warrant was issued for missing the court date, a motion needs to be filed to set aside the bench warrant. You say they knew he was in jail, but without an attorney there to speak for him, a bench warrant would issue and nothing will happen until he is brought back. An attorney should be able to get the bench warrant lifted and get him out when he gets back to this state.
