Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
My son is being charged with terroristic threats by his school but it has been over a month and we havent heard of a court date or anything... how long do they have to get him infront of a judge? And can he be charged with this crime just from pictures of weapons on his phone?

Your son cannot be "charged" with terroristic threats by his school. Your son can be charged by the district attorney.
Get off the computer and contact a criminal defense attorney right away to discuss the facts of this case. Be prepared to pay at least a consultation fee.
Good luck.
Schools don't charge people. The county DA does. The fact that you don't know that tells me that you have done your son a dangerous disservice and have not done what a parent should do promptly - hire him a good lawyer. The earlier a lawyer is hired in possible criminal cases the better. This is an emergency where you need to get off the computer and into a lawyer's office.
Cellphone pictures can be compelling evidence (even though you didn't tell us what they show).
To pile on what the others have said, if you want to make sure your son's adult life starts off as a disaster, don't get a lawyer to properly advice you and him what to do, and handle these charges in the best way possible.
I don't know where the charges stand. Was he detained as a juvenile (under 17 years old) and released to his parents pending trial, or was he arrested as a n adult, and is waiting to go back to court? Has a warrant been taken yet? In regards to the photo, the photo by iteslf is typically not terroristic threats. I recommend you review website on the best way to locate the right attorney: www.lawrencelewispc.com
