Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
My son is currently on probation for underage drinking. He forged his Community Service papers and has been charged with Forgery. Is this a 1st degree felony? Are we looking at major jail time?

It depends on the judge but it is a felony, and also is grounds to revoke probation. Most judges will jail someone for this. Your son needs a lawyer, and mental health counseling. Get him both.
