stolen car
I was wondering if the person that stole my car was responsible for the damang or could I sue the person in small claims court?

If the Defendant has not been sentenced yet, you should tell the D.A. that your car suffered $x.00 in damages and the judge should make the Defendant pay restitution (the cost of the repairs) as part of his probation. A civil judgment is worthless against that type of individual. If he were to ignore the criminal judge's order on paying restitution, he would have to go back to jail. Its a much better way to get your money.
