You failed to appear in court, and were found not guilty? Probably NOT. If you failed to appear in court, the judge would most likely issue a bench warrant for your arrest. If you have an outstanding warrant, because you failed to appear, your name would appear on the list. If you failed to appear in court, the judge would never be allowed to proceed to trial (even a bench trial) in your absence. So, your friend got it wrong. You need to retain counsel to help you clear up the matter. See website for info on retaining the right attorney: http://www.lawrencelewispc.com/pages.php?go=pinfo&PID=38
Good luck.
