Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
I have summoned to appear warrant application hearing for being accused of pointing a gun to another person (inside of my apartment). There are no witnesses to this accusation.
One of my rights is i can remain silent and cannot be compelled to testify.
Question. What are the consequences of remaining silent?
Thank you

Your question is unanswerable as no one here knows the facts. The one you should be asking is "why would I chose to increase my chances of going to jail by not hiring a lawyer to come with me and advise me at my hearing?"

KEEP YOU MOUTH SHUT!!
Better yet, hire a lawyer to go with you so you don't get trapped into any admissions of guilt and you lawyer can hire court reporter to take down the alleged victim's lies under oath!!
