Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

I would like to supeona video evidence that will dispute an arresting officers recollection of events before the indictment of criminal charges. How might I go about doing that? I spoke with the custodian of records over the video and was advised that all I needed was a judges signature. whats the first step?

You havce two choices.

You can botch up your case by drawing up something now (now not being the proper time toi do it). You won't get the records, but will anger the judge and prosecutor (the judge for your ex parte contact that is improper, and the prosecutor for wasting his time) and make it more likely that you get indicted and go to jail.

Choice two is to stop letting your non-lawyer friends practice law, do something intelligent, hire a good lawyer, and let him seek the appropriate discovery at the appropriate time.
