Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
Not suppose to be in prison for charges.
My husband has been on parole since 1997 he was convicted of burglary and did 2 1/2 years and was convicted as an adult at 17 he was commited to the state unitl he was 18 years old but they charged him with his crime at seventeen. How does that play a role for him and if he was part of the state until he was 18 how can he be tried as an adult at 17? Can his charges be dropped and the felony be dropped and how can he do this himself and have a chance to hopefully get out?

He was properly charged. GA Law allows a 17 year old to be charged as an adult.
