What if a person collected $2500 in insurance medical claims from two different companies for the injury. What is the crime? And is there a statute of limitations?

It would depend, for an important part, whether the application for the benefits contained an false statement or untruth. If a person has multiple policies and files under each one, and answers all the questions truthfully, it would be difficult to see the fraud. Only you have the answer.
