Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
theft by taking
I am charged with 6 counts of theft by taking. I returned all the items to their owners as asked. I was in the corrections system before and asked for help with my drug addictions but was refused due to budget cuts. This occured in 2000. How should I approach the judge in getting the help I need? I have a bond but choose to stay in county lockup to help resist my addictions.

Re: theft by taking
You need representation and a drug evaluation to determine the level of your addictions and to devise a treatment program.
If you are indigent, apply for appointment of an attorney to represent you.
