Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
Threat to daughter's boyfriend
My daughter and the boy she is seeing (against her mother and my wishes)are 2 years and a month apart in age. My daughter is 14 and the boy is 16, almost 17. He has already snuck over to the house and tried to come in through the window, but couldn't reach from the ladder. They have said nothing has happened (yet). Unwisely, in a heated discussion with the boy, I told him ''If'' he had sex with my daughter I would kill him. He told me he had this recorded on his cell phone. Is this a felony or mis.? I also didn't know if the threat being contigent on a future action of his would help me out. One last question, if they do have sex, is this statutory rape in GA?
Thanks so much for your help!!!!!

Re: Threat to daughter's boyfriend
The threat to the boy is a misd. called terrorist threat. The recording on the cell may or may not be the truth. If the boy and the daughter have sex due to the ages it is misd stat. rape. However, I would point out this would follow him his whole life as a sex offender and this is a large burden.
