Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
Type your question here...sentence on a 12yrs do 3yrs on drug charge. when got out of prison and got off of parole never started probation. now there is a probation violation warrant out. my question is what is expected when turning self in.

The probated sentence is a jail sentence that you are allowed to serve free as long as you behave. The maximum sentence from the judge is the time you have remaining on probation. The minimum is usually 30 days, sometimes they will see you sooner, but that is up to the judge. If you are fortunate, the judge will release you after that time an put you back on probation.
