Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
Warrant stopped?
Apon speaking my PO I found out that I had a warrant for violation of Probation. MY PO told me that if i came in and made a payment he would not arrest me and would pull the warrant... He told me that if I got arrested before I came to his office on mon. there was nothing he could do about it but that when i showed up on monday I would not be arrested...is this posible or can he say this to lure me in so he can have me arrested? The reason i'm on probation is 2 bad checks totaling 50.00 and the amount let on my fines is 1350.00 I dont know if that makes a difference and I have never been in trouble with the law before.

Re: Warrant stopped?
The amount of your fine makes no difference. You P.O. may have you arrested. Do you have to see him to check in or just to pay? If it is only to pay then I might consider having someone else take the money to him. He is not under any duty to inform you that you may be arrested. Good luck.
