Can a wife be forced to testify against her husband,if she is the victim, in a simple battery case in the state of Georgia?

Typically a wife can assert a marital privilege and not be forced to testify against a husband to whom she is legally married (no common law marriage), unless the crime involves children or other limited circumstances.
