If you're smart you will get a lawyer ASAP. Not only could you face a fine and jail or probation, but you can have your drivers license suspended. You also can lose the ability to get most scholarships, to join the military and to live in public housing. Additionally, employers who see it on a criminal history may decide not to hire you. With those possible consequences, you want a lawyer to minimize them.
