Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
What happens without witness
I was set up on drug trafficking charges by an informant that ha dbeen arrested the previuos day. This informant also had a hold in Va. for terroristic acts. The bust was in a hotel room. the room was not in my name. there were two rooms which they observed as I entered the hotel by watching me on security cameras. neither room was in my name. When they searched the rooms they did not have warrants. I was calmly sitting in the hallway bench waiting on the person who set me up.So there was no emergency that led to a search without warrant.anyway since the arrest the person who set me up has committed suicide.at least that is what i have been told.If thies is true can they still prosecute my case?
