Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

I was wondering if its possible to have your name removed from a sex offender registration?

If so, what steps would someone have to take?

Usually no. If there is a reason you could, you did not tell us what it is so no one can tell you what steps to take.

Generally no, but you failed to tell us any reasons you'd be trying.

The answer is maybe. There are certain very specific requirements for placing someone on the sex registry, and if you were incorrectly placed on the registry (or an argument can be made that you were incorrectly placed on) then you can get off. However, if you properly placed on the registry, there is no coming off, irrespective of your reason for wanting to come off. I have successfully helped people off of the registry, but your specific facts must be placed against the statutory requirements to see if you qualify to come off. Feel free to contact me.
