Legal Question in DUI Law in Georgia

Okay, Im charged with a DUI in Georgia. Im likely to lose a trial by judge. I cant switch to a jury at this point in time. If I want to appeal do I have to get it done in ten days?

If I do have to make it in ten days Ill probably plea. But, if I could appeal it in three or six months its probably worth my losing the trial.

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Based upon the fact much of your post is so unclear, I can guarantee you that you will have a disaster if you represent yourself.

Get a lawyer. I cannot stresss that strongly enough.

(It is highly unusual to win a reversal of a DUI trial on appeal, so you want the trial to go well. Unless you have a strong case, an attorney may negotiate a plea and avoid trial).

Remember, if you lose the case you can go to jail for a year, can be fined $1000 or more, will lose your right to drive, and will carry a criminal history for life. Your car insurance rates will go up and many prospective employers will refuse to hire you.

In other words, get a lawyer. To do all things needed in a timely fashion, do that less than 10 days after you arrest.
