I currently have a warrant for a Minor in Possession in Omaha, Nebraska. It was a DUI but was dropped to MIP. I paid the fines but apparently I was supposed to take classes and had left, forgetting this...this was a violation of probation (found this out three years later from my probation office when i called) I moved to Atlanta and the warrant obviously is still around almost 4 years later. When I called and asked her what I could do she said take the classes I was supposed to and then write a letter to the prosecutor and maybe they will drop it. I am in about a month going to take these classes but wondering, is this likely that it will be cleared? The classes total will be about 350 dollars and being a college student its very hard. I do not want to spend the money and its a total waste.
Thanks

Would you prefer to sit in jail somedat when you are caught? What happens when that happens a day before your finals?
You were ordered to do something by a court. You are now a wanted criminal. If you are stopped for a traffic violation, or need a record search to get a job, you will probably be arrested. Get a lawyer (and yes this will cost you) in Nebraska, find out for sure what you must do, and do it.
